Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp has reportedly rolled out new photo and video shortcuts to chats and groups in Windows beta. As reported by WABetaInfo, the new option will allow users to share photos and videos directly from the app.
Previously, users could only share media using drag and drop and another sharing option called “Files”, but this option only allowed users to share photos and videos as documents.
The new photo and video shortcuts have been released to beta testers after installing the WhatsApp beta 2.2306.2.0 update for Windows, which is available on the Microsoft Store. The new feature is expected to be rolled out to more users in the coming days, the report said.
Meanwhile, it was reported in December that the messaging platform rolled out a new feature that would allow users to disable caller notifications on a beta version of Windows.
This feature is useful because due to an unexpected problem, call notifications may appear even when Do Not Disturb is enabled, so users can manually fix the error by disabling these notifications.
